In our class, we aim to be:
We are always ready to learn.
We are patient and we pay attention so that we can be super learners!
We look after each other and the school property.
We take care in all that we do.
We listen carefully so that we are safe at all times.
We use our kind hands and we follow the instructions all of the time.
The children are beginning the Summer term by reading the story
'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers.
Click the photograph of the book to listen at home. You can also find a link to this through out virtual library on the Hamilton Academy website!
We are also reading the story Poles Apart by Jeanne Willis in our story time. You can watch this by clicking here.
In Maths, the children are beginning their learning around multiplication. Can you practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s? Listen to the video links below to help you!
Can you continue to practise writing the words for the numbers 0-20?
Below, you will find the poem that we are learning in school.
The children practise this poem to develop their speaking skills.
In class, the children are learning the new vocabulary that they are unsure of in this poem.
We discussed the words; stout, waddle and dive. Does your child know what these words mean?
