Welcome to Incredibles NG!
This page is to help you feel involved and informed of everything that we do in Year 2. Please take the time to explore our class page where you will find lots of important information.
Let’s meet our 'incredible’ staff!
Miss N Grocott Mrs K Evenson Mrs M Robertson
This half term our topic will focus on the key learning challenge 'Why would a dinosaur not make a good pet?' We will be basing our learning on the story 'Wild' by Emily Hughes. Click on the illustration to listen to the story…
Each week we will have focus questions to explore and answer based around the key learning challenge. Let's take a look...
Week 1: Who does this egg belong to?
Week 2: How did dinosaurs roam Earth and how did they survive?
Week 3: Why did Wild want to remain in the forest?
Week 4: Which animals would we usually find in our rivers, lakes and ponds and why are they there?
Week 5: Why do humans live in houses?
Week 6: Why do animals live where they do?
We have lots of exciting and cross-curricular learning opportunities over the next few weeks. Our new topic will heavily focus on science and the children will have the opportunity to learn about habitats, animals and food chains. The children will also learn about nature and the environment as they will have the opportunity to take part in our Forest School Enrichment Curriculum (more information).
